PoCA 2026

Be the next voice of PoCA!!

 

Expressions of Interest are invited to host the 2026 annual meeting of PoCA.

The lead member or members of the proposed Organizing Committee should be PhD candidates at the time of the annual meeting. Other members of the Organizing Committee and of the Editorial Committee which will oversee the publication of the proceedings of the meeting may be either PhD students or recent postdoctoral researchers (who have completed their PhD within the last 6 years).

Expressions of interest should be sent to poca2025@ucy.ac.cy by 1st September 2025, and should include the following:

1) The names of the proposed organizer(s),

    i) their current status (PhD student; Postdoctoral scholar including the year in which the PhD was awarded),

    ii) research topics/interests, and

   iii) their role on the committee.

2) Institutional affiliation. Please provide whether you have:

    i) obtained permission from your Institution to hold the event;

   ii) the names of members of the academic staff who support your proposal;
  iii) refer to available conference facilities and financial support.

 

3) Relation of your Institution to Cypriot Archaeology.

 

The bids with PowerPoint presentations to host PoCA 2026 will be held on the 9th of October at the beginning of the PoCA 2025 meeting after the keynote lecture.

Online voting (each paper counts to one vote) will take place during the PoCA 2025 meeting and the result will be announced at the end of the meeting on the 11th of October.
